Dra. Bruna Katiele de Paula Clemens obtained her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Federal University of Goiás, Brazil, in 2020. During her master’s, she played a pivotal role in the OpenZika project, leading the discovery of inhibitors against ZIKV and other flaviviruses. In 2020, she began her doctoral studies in Tropical Medicine and Public Health at the Institute of Tropical Pathology and Public Health, Federal University of Goiás, Brazil, and spent a year at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. In 2024, she completed her Ph.D., working on projects involving COVID-19 and malaria drug discovery.
Dr. Clemens' research interests include cheminformatics and its application in medicinal chemistry for drug discovery. Her expertise spans protein structure prediction, dynamics, virtual screening, and the integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence in drug development.
