Bruin Mates was founded in 2023 by a group of UCLA students who shared a vision to create a community where career-minded Bruins could connect with professionals, learn from their experiences, and build meaningful relationships. Riya Varma- Event Manger

Riya Varma (She/Her) is an exceptionally well-rounded Business Economics Freshman at UCLA with a strong focus on consulting, marketing, and finance, marked by a design-oriented approach to creative problem-solving. She has already gained impressive experience through a competitive Model Risk Management Internship at Deloitte and demonstrated executive capability as the former Head Girl of a large student body. Riya also possesses a deep commitment to social impact, having founded two distinct community projects, including initiatives focused on mental health, gender equality, and sustainability for underprivileged children. Combining academic excellence, proven leadership, and athletic achievements, Riya is a highly accomplished individual eager to connect and discuss economics, art, or tennis.
