Please meet our September boarder of the month Jamie and her horse Tango!
Jamie currently has a gelding named PSU It’s Crimson Time, also known as Tango. Jamie purchased Tango after having her daughter, and she wanted to transition from trail riding to more arena-based work. Jamie now rides English and is currently taking lessons as well as planning on participating at fun shows in the future.
She is excited to keep learning this new discipline and to continue improving. One thing Jamie loves about Tango is how great he is with her 5-year-old daughter, Ella. A fun fact about Tango is “he snorts whenever I put any sort of fly repellent around his head, and if you are not prepared, you will need to wash your face.”
Jamie has been a boarder here at Brownstone Farm since 2015. During her time here, her favorite thing about being a part of the Brownstone family is the owners (Bob and Natalie Unger). She also loves the amount of care Bob and Natalie provide to both horse and rider. We asked Jamie if she could sum up Brownstone Farm in one word what would it be? Her answer was “Home.”’

For August 2026 boarder of the month, we have Lynn Witmer! Lynn has been a client at Brownstone since December of 2014. She came to Brownstone when her previous horse ,Pyro, required rehab from an injury. "Brownstones' staff did an amazing job!" Lynn says. She was so pleased with her experience that she decided to bring both her horses, Pyro and Poco, to Brownstone in August of 2019. "What I cherish the most about Brownstone is the quality care given to Poco under Natalies's knowlegeable and watchful eye, and by the super support crew."
About Poco
Poco ( PR Powder Keg) is a 2006 AQHA gelding. Lynn descibes Poco as having the best personality. He has a laid-back attitude that makes him extremely versatile and is willing to try anything she asks. "He is my buddy and partner." Lynn's favorite activity to do with Poco is obstacle trail. They have dabbled in a wide variety of other disciplines however, including archery, mounted shooting, basic mounted police program, cow work, drill team and many more. This team has had many accomplishments including:
Master Trail Horse Certification through the PFHA Trail Horse Test Program
Won the first 500 Point Buckle in the Virtual Obsticle Show program
Ranch horse champion and reserve champion for the non-pro divison at Columbia Riding Club
Trail champion through SVHSA
"I could not do all this without the awsome support and encouragement from my husband Bill. Horses are not just a hobby, they are a way of life."
