I would like to figure skate for Brown. How can I do that?
To join our team, you must first apply and be accepted to one of Brown's undergraduate or graduate (including master's, Ph.D., and M.D.) programs. After that, follow the steps here!
Does Brown Figure Skating Club recruit?
No, by university policy, our team cannot recruit prospective athletes for our program.
Can I talk about the club in my application essays?
Yes! If you are passionate about figure skating and believe that Brown and our club fit your desires, the Office of Admission would love to hear about it!
Does Brown Figure Skating Club offer scholarships?
No, scholarships are not awarded for figure skating or any other sport at Ivy League member institutions. U.S. Figure Skating offers a variety of scholarships for eligible skaters.
Can Brown Figure Skating Club help me get admitted to Brown?
No, we do not have any influence over admission decisions.
Is Brown's Figure Skating Club NCAA-sanctioned?
No, our competition is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. There is no varsity or NCAA skating team at Brown.
Can I meet with the club's coach or captains?
We are happy to connect with you to share more about our club.
Can I take lessons from a Brown figure skater?
You may take lessons from a member of our team in their personal capacity and not during club ice time.
