Learning how to connect your Brother printer to Wi-Fi is easy—just open the WLAN Setup Wizard, select your Wi-Fi network, and enter your password. Once connected, add the printer to your computer to start wireless printing. This quick setup lets you print from any device on the same network.
Make sure your printer is powered on.
If it has a touchscreen, wait until the home screen is fully loaded.
On the printer’s control panel:
Press Menu
Select Network
Choose WLAN
Select Setup Wizard
(For touchscreen models, just tap Settings → Wi-Fi → Setup Wizard)
The printer will start searching for available Wi-Fi networks.
From the list of networks:
Choose your Wi-Fi name (SSID)
Press OK
If you do not see your Wi-Fi, select Search Again to refresh the list.
Use the printer keypad to type your Wi-Fi password.
Make sure:
You enter it correctly
Capital letters and symbols are typed as required
Press OK to continue.
The printer will try to connect.
If successful, you will see:
"Connected" or
"Connection OK"
Your Brother printer is now connected to Wi-Fi.
Open Settings
Go to Bluetooth & Devices
Click Printers & Scanners
Select Add Device
Choose your Brother printer from the list
Open System Settings
Select Printers & Scanners
Click Add Printer
Choose your Brother printer
Restart the printer and Wi-Fi router
Make sure Wi-Fi password is correct
Move the printer closer to the router
Ensure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is enabled (Brother printers don’t support 5 GHz on many models)
