We strongly encourage our players to play tennis year round.
The following is a summary of local/regional opportunities available to our players This is certainly not an all-inclusive list, and we of course encourage all our players to simply get out there to play, hit and have fun whenever possible!
Apex Tennis Center, Arvada. Several of our players are currently playing at Apex. As most of you know, the Apex facility is outstanding and includes four permanent indoor courts as well as eight outdoor courts with lights. The Apex Pros are all certified tennis teaching professionals, and most have high school and/or college coaching experience. For more information, please contact Apex Tennis Director Kim Greason kimg@apex.org or 720 220 4233.
Denver Raquets Club, Lakewood, is a private club that offers programs for non-members, including junior/high school players. The Denver Raquest Club complex includes seven permanent/heated indoor courts. For more information call 303 232 6272 or visit the club's website meadowcreektennis.com
Broomfield Swim and Tennis Club. BSTC offers drill sessions and private lessons for high school players, weather permitting. These sessions are open to both club members and non-members. Please contact BSTC Head Pro Victoria Rozelaar-Ferrell bstc.manager@gmail.com or 720 215 2171 for information and to register.
Tournaments. While all of the above will provide a mix of drills, instruction, game-based play and practice sets, tournament play provides an opportunity to stay "match tough" and develop experience/confidence in an actual match setting. Please consider exploring the Colorado USTA site for tournament/match play opportunities.
