About Us

The Brookwood Fencing Club was formed in 2006 for the purpose of allowing our students to compete in intramural leagues in our area. We offer instruction in all three sword types. Our club has successfully won individual and team championships in all sword types. Our students have gone on to compete in national tournaments, thanks to the direction and guidance of our coach Maestro Oswaldo Ortega, one of the best coaches in the world. He has coached the Venezuela National Team and now resides in Georgia where he runs his club, Fencing Star Academy, in Atlanta. Experienced fencers as well as students who have absolutely no idea what fencing is about can join the club. You will be trained by the best to be the best in a strategic and exhilarating competition of chess at 100 miles an hour.
