Makerspace

The Brookside Makerspace is available for collaboration with teachers and students. We are excited to be transitioning our Computer Lab into our NEW Makerspace!

Activities will be embedded into library lessons in the classroom observing safety protocols. Digital activities, coding and creativity!

Makerspace Objectives

Students will explore different innovative tools and resources.

Students will problem solve through cycles of design, implementation and reflection.

Students will persist through self-directed pursuits by tinkering and making.

The HOUR OF CODE was a blast! Students participated in several coding activities both in their classrooms and in library. K-2 students read the book Coding to Kindness by Valerie Sousa and solved some SEL problems! We also explored our Dash and Dot and Code and Go Mouse Robots!
