The following diagram shows the order you need to place your badges onto your tunic.
Left Sleeve:
Achievement & Certification*
Right Sleeve:
Summer Course Qualification
*with the exception of the Proficiency Level and Drum/Pipe Major badge, as depicted in the sleeves diagram.
Shoulder Badge
The Shoulder Badges are to be worn on both sleeves of the jacket (tunic) only. The top of the badge is to be 2 cm below the shoulder upper seam.
Non Warrant Officers: Rank Badges are to be worn centered on both sleeves, mid-way between the elbow and the shoulder upper seam.
Warrant Officers: Worn centered on both sleeves with the bottom of the badge 9 cm above the top of the cuff. Or, either:
1 cm above the third row of Summer Courses Qualification Badges; or
1 cm above the Proficiency Level Badge which is 1 cm above the second row of Achievement and Certification Badges
In all cases, both badges must be at the same height.
These badges are to be worn centered on the left sleeve of the jacket, where the bottom of the badge is immediately above the top of the cuff. If any Achievement and Certification Badge(s) is worn, the Proficiency Level Badge is worn 1cm above that. Note only the most senior badge is worn.
Warrant Officers are to retain their Proficiency Level Badge on their tunic.
These badges are worn immediately above the top of the left cuff. They are worn in the order that they were awarded (see Sleeves and Badge Placement tab above for diagram).
The first badge is centered immediately above the cuff of the uniform jacket;
The second badge awarded is placed immediately to the right of the first badge, to the front of the sleeve;
The third is placed immediately to the left of the first badge, to the rear of the sleeve;
The fourth badge is placed immediately above the first badge, forming a second row; and
The fifth badge is placed immediately to the right of the fourth badge.
These badges are worn immediately above the top of the right cuff. They are worn in the order that they were awarded (see Sleeves and Badge Placement tab above for diagram).
The first badge is centered immediately above the cuff of the uniform jacket;
The second badge awarded is placed immediately to the left of the first badge, to the front of the sleeve;
The third is placed immediately to the right of the first badge, to the rear of the sleeve;
The fourth, fifth and sixth badges are placed immediately above badges one, two and three forming a second row of badges and they are placed in the same order as the first row; and
If a seventh badge is awarded, it shall be placed immediately over the fourth badge.
The Pilot Wings are to be worn centered, 0.5 cm above medal ribbons on the left breast pocket. If no medal ribbons are worn, wings shall be centered and placed immediately above the left breast pocket.
NOTE: If a cadet successfully completes both Glider and Power, only the Power Pilot Wings shall be worn.
