Brooklyn Latin's Model United Nations team is one of the biggest clubs at TBLS, with more than 100 members. In adherence with our school's motto, Cui multium sit datum, multum ab eo postulabitur (To whom much is given, much is expected), we provide students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in diplomacy, international affairs, teamwork, public speaking, and problem-solving. Each year, we attend more than 12 conferences around the city, where many of our delegates achieve merit, build new relationships, and learn how to change the world.
BLSMUN (Brooklyn Latin School Model United Nations) is a Model UN conference held annually at Brooklyn Latin, open to all NYC schools. Chaired and directed by our own delegates, past conferences have included Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The emphasis on research, rhetoric, persuasion, and finding common ground in Model UN also echoes the practices of ancient Greek democracy and Roman republican politics.
Founded in 2006, the Brooklyn Latin School provides a specialized, classical education, including the study of Latin and Greek, in a rigorous academic environment. It provides the groundwork for an understanding of the foundation of our society while developing the leadership capacity of our discipuli so that they may serve as leaders in our communities.
Brooklyn Latin is located at 223 Graham Avenue, between Scholes and Maujer Sts.
