Our family moved to precinct 3 in 1983 and I have engaged in community activism ever since. Recent focus includes pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular safety at Longwood Ave/Kent Street and Francis Street; challenging developer’s demolition of the Bertram Inn at 92 Sewall Ave and oversize and out of place proposals at the 40B project, 83 Longwood Ave. At the Lawrence Park, a school, recreation and community crossroads, I work with Friends of Lawrence Park to design and sustain the Circle Garden’s bright blooms.
Our town now faces daunting challenges on climate, race and justice. We need to work together to solve housing production and affordable housing scarcity. We need to resolve civic divisiveness so we can make progress, uplift our diverse community and build a healthy future.
Service to town includes: Founder and Board, Brookline GreenSpace Alliance; Board, Brookline Community Foundation; Board, Climate Action Brookline; Commissioner, Parks and Recreation Commission; Town Meeting Member Precinct 3; Founder and ongoing steward, Friends of Lawrence Park.
