Website design requires an understanding of mission, vision, and the designated audience. Working with this business, Brooke helped clarify the core values to ensure a website design that captured the purpose, but also would reach the people who could benefit from it the most. Collaboration is essential to the process. As changes are incorporated, and vision evolves as the page comes to life, Brooke coordinated drafts, edits, and final reviews through the entire process.
Brooke also designs and maintains her own author website.
Brooke has extensive experience with cover design. From Canva to Adobe Preimere Pro, she has been able to produce works built upon the unique qualities of each story and its ideal reader.
Brooke's volunteer work for Always & Furever, a local animal rescue, includes creating digital flyers and social media posts. These designs were specific to an auto donation program. Utilizing recent images of adoptable dogs, and the fun, bright colors of the shelter, these graphics were designed specifically for Facebook and Instagram posts (square) and Facebook and Instagram stories (tall and thin). These graphics were designed with a Canva Pro license.
Brooke designed this branding template (2024) as part of her freelance website design through Canva. This collaborative process incorporated the client's input, feedback, and suggestions in order to create a color palate for their website along with a logo. Accessibility testing for text was done, as well as determining typography that would best carry the brand's messaging while still utilizing fonts freely available through Wix. This template will allow the business owner to create future advertisement materials that will be cohesive with their website's branding.

Brooke adapted and combined a variety of shorter works into an Informational Report for a student organization on the Missouri S&T campus, the Miner Writers' Guild. This project was developed from a variety of document types produced in class and includes a branding guide. These pages were compiled in Adobe InDesign and shared with the Miner Writers' Guild in both PDF and InDesign files for regular use and for future changes.
