For Honors Cornerstone of Engineering II at Northeastern University, our course section was tasked with creating, designing, presenting, analyzing, and formally presenting on an original game that would be exhibited at the Boston Children's Museum.
We created "Bridge the Charles", a Charles River Esplanade-themed experience in which players are tasked with building a bridge across the water so that the sailboat can safely pass underneath.
My group, Team E-Splanade, was also the Executive Board of our course section, meaning we were in charge of our section experience, which we called "Travel the T". This references Boston's public transit system, encouraging young Boston residents to explore their city and form a personal connection.
Overall, we had an excellent museum experience, engaging with kids and grown-ups while they engaged with our project. In addition, our team won "best game" in our section, reflecting the impact of our hard work.
