As an Artist, I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and challenge myself with backgrounds. Many people may think that the background of a painting isn’t important because nobody pays attention to it. Yet, in reality, the background of a painting can make or break your whole altered piece. It can make the painting boring, lifeless, chaotic, messy, empty, or too much. And at times it can be rather difficult to decide on a background for a painting.
