STUDENT ATHLETES

Ian is an excellent Student. All he wants to do is play football. When Ian found out he had to have good grades to play football he shaped up and got high grades in all his subjects. Ian claimed a $50 gift card from the team for excelling in Academics. For the 2020 season Ian is Student Athlete of the year.

Joel is a first-year player who was very quiet. But you would never know that he was one of the smartest guys around. We celebrate Joel as 2018's BRONX STEELERS Student-Athlete of the year on our 14U level.

a few words from Joel: "I really enjoy going to my School. I feel safe and supported in my school. I attend Mott Hall Science and Technology Academy. My favorite subject is Math. Unlike English, Math is straightforward. I do good in school. My Mom thinks I do great. My 2017 term average is 94.57%. When I grow up, I would love to become a Game Developer. A person who develops code in the games. If not I would love to be an Architect, I enjoy building things. My Advice to others would be to, stay in school, stay focused, and help your Parents. My favorite football player is Shaquem Griffin. He is a Linebacker. He lost his left hand when he was 4 years old due to Amniotic Band Syndrome. In the past, I have played Soccer and Baseball. I wanted to try a new sport, and this is how I got started with football. I am still learning, but my teammates are very supportive. This year my favorite thing about playing the sport is the opportunity, to travel to other States. Out of all the Sports, I have played football is the only one I have traveled with."

Osman Has been playing since he turned 5. He works really hard at improving every year. He uses his smarts to help lead his teammates to victory after victory. Osman Scored a 4 on his state math test and earned him Student Athlete of the year on the 8U Level.

A few Words from Osman: " Work hard and be nice" is the code I follow. I always wanted to play football. My brother played and I wanted to. My favorite player is Odell Beckham. He has a lot of talent and speed to match. He is Great at the game and i want to be great as well. My favorite thing about playing football is shutting down a team so that hey cant do anything against us. When grow up I want to work with technology like my Dad if I don't make it to the NFL. I plan to go to a D1 school
