Auditions will take place during your first class on August 25 or 26. There will be a singing, acting, and dance audition. You are not required to memorize the song/scenes, but you are welcome to do so. There will be extra copies of music and scenes available in class.
*Students: You will not be able to access files in Google Drive if you're signed into your school account.*
What you need to know:
We will review "You're Never Fully Dressed" as a group, during your first class.
A piano accompanist will play for your audition.
Everyone will be asked to sing "You're Never Fully Dressed."
SOME STUDENTS will also be asked to sing "Tomorrow."
You are not required to memorize your song (you can hold your music if you prefer).
What we are looking/listening for: vocal range, vocal quality, voice type, acting while singing.
If you are not comfortable singing your audition alone, you don't have to! Please know that we will take that to mean you aren't ready to sing a solo in front of an audience, so we will not cast you as a character that sings a solo in the play.
Click the link below to access the vocal audition folder.
Read the "Acting Audition Information" document and follow the instructions.
You will have a chance to review the dance several times during your first class. Then you'll be asked to perform the dance in small groups.
