BRNO LAB OF INTERGROUP PROCESSES

The Brno Lab of Intergroup Processes [BLIP] carries out research in psychology of intergroup relations, particularly on ways to improve tensed relations between different groups in society. We focus on relationships between social minorities, such as immigrants or stigmatized groups, and social majority (minority-majority relations); on relationships between distinct social minorities (inter-minority relations); or on relationships between former adversaries in post-conflict societies (reconciliation).

Our research projects currently deal with

(a) social norms and their impact on contact between groups and prejudice;

(b)  the role of informational and communication technologies in spread of prejudice;

(c) reaction time as a way to measure prejudice in a refined way.
