Keeping mariners safe at sea and in a classroom is my life's mission. Finding ways to continue to make education accessible to ensure the West Coast has the highest trained competent mariners is my goal.
Brizo Marine services started weeks before the tragic sinking of the tug boat Ingenika in the Gardner Canal. At the time when little was known one fact was clear, more education and access to education for mariners is essential. Having schools online where multitudes of students can access the material as well as flexible schedules to fit the needs of mariners, interactive assignments which challenge and engage students were all goals set forth in her vision. Brizo, is the greek goddess who was known as the protector of mariners, sailors and fishermen. What better way to protect mariners than by educating them?
