Brittany Story (née Carr)
I'm currently a Research Mathematician at the Army Research Lab. My current work looks at using topology to understand neural connectivity.
Before I started at ARL, I worked at the University of Tennessee Knoxville as a part of NIMBioS under Vasileios Maroulas. Here, my projects focused on using topology and machine learning for different neuroscience applications.
I received my PhD from Colorado State University in May 2022 under Henry Adams. My work looked at using sublevelset persistent homology to characterize the energy landscape of branched alkanes.
I completed my Masters in Mathematics at Colorado State in 2019. I completed my Bachelors in Mathematics and my Bachelors in Secondary Education Mathematics at Northern Arizona University in 2017.
