The BEC has three Levels of Flags:
Officer Flag
Ceremonial Flag
Member Flag
The Officer Flag is in the style of British Colonial Governernors to represent their authority in the group whilst the Ceremonial and Member flags are Red and Blue ensigns.
Members are free to choose to fly either the Red or Blue fielded variants, normally determined by the colours of their home nation's flag.
The Member Flags simply represent one's membership of the club whilst the Ceremonial Flags represent the club as a whole, so it is requested that speacial care is taken when displaying the Ceremonial Flags to not bring the society into disrepute.
The British Ensign Club has arrangements with flag manufacturers in Wales and Hong Kong to sell the Club Flags to members.
Flown by those with an official position in the society, the Officer Flag follows the pattern of the Imperial Governor Flags.
