The conference will take place in the large lecture theatre in the Physics Poynting Building on the University of Birmingham Edgbaston Campus. The Poynting Building is located just off Chancellor's Court.
The clock tower in the centre of campus - candidly referred to as "Old Joe" and believed to have been the inspiration for the Eye of Sauron in JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy - is your main point of reference. If you get lost, head for Old Joe and the Poynting Building is just a few metres away.
A campus map is available here, the Poynting Building is R13.
Coffee will be served in the Bridge Study Room (follow the signs).
BYOM: We would like to encourage all participants to bring their own mug for the coffee breaks to help us reduce waste and to preserve our environment.
The University of Birmingham's Edgbaston Campus is home to the Edgbaston Park Hotel, which is a short walk from the conference venue.
