By plane: 

Southampton has an airport situated towards the north of the city and around a 30 minute bus ride from the main campus. These buses are around every 8 minutes and you should take the U1C towards the city centre and alight at Highfield campus. Click here for the U1 bus timetable and a service map. If you arrive in London Gatwick, there is usually an hourly direct train service  to Southampton Central which takes around 2 hours.

By train:

Southampton has two main railway stations: Southampton Airport Parkway (for instructions on how to reach Highfield campus refer to above) & Southampton Central. From Southampton Central, outside the southern side of the station, take the U1A towards the Aiport and alight at Highfield Campus. Southampton is linked via direct services to: London (~ 1 hr 15 mins), Birmingham (~ 2 hrs 15 mins), Cardiff (~ 2 hrs 30 mins) and more.
