24th September 2019Ask students to consider the following:
Discuss the role of AMTS as an objective and reproducible measure of confusion.
Ask students to suggest component questions of the AMTS. Highlight the correct answers and distribute handouts with the full AMTS score. Alternatively, ask students to view on their phones using the QR code provided.
Split the group into pairs. Ask one student to practice asking the AMTS questions on the other. After a few minutes, switch roles to allow the other student to have a go.
Discuss management of cases of confused patients.
Discuss a couple of commonly used examples e.g. 4AT and MOCA.
