Maghil Inc ("we," "our," or "us") respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how the Maghil Greet application ("the App") handles information. Greet is a business tool used by restaurant staff to manage reservations, waitlists, and table seating on behalf of their establishment.
The App is used by authorized staff of a restaurant or business ("the Organization"). It processes the following information:
Guest information (entered by staff): To create and manage reservations and waitlist entries, the App processes guest details provided by the Organization's staff, such as name, phone number, party size, and reservation notes. This information belongs to the Organization and is entered by its staff.
Staff authentication: Staff access the App using credentials or a PIN provided by their Organization. We do not allow self-registration of user accounts.
Device information: During device registration, the App processes a device identifier to associate the device with the Organization's location and to enable real-time synchronization between devices.
Camera (barcode/QR scanning): With your permission, the App uses the device camera to scan barcodes/QR codes for reservation lookup. Camera images are processed only for scanning and are not stored or transmitted.
The App does not collect precise location, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, or biometric data.
The App is designed solely to allow authorized businesses to manage reservations, waitlists, and table/floor-plan seating, and to send operational notifications (e.g., new reservation alerts) to staff devices.
Guest and reservation information is used only to provide the reservation and waitlist management service to the Organization.
We do not sell, rent, or use personal information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the service.
Organization-provided login credentials remain under the control of the Organization.
Data is transmitted to and from Maghil-managed servers over secure, encrypted connections, and requests are cryptographically signed.
Guest and reservation data is stored on Maghil servers solely to provide the service to the Organization, and is retained according to the Organization's account and applicable law.
Data displayed on a device may be cached locally to support offline use and is cleared when the user signs out or the device is unregistered.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose guest or Organization information to third parties for their own purposes.
Reservation and guest data remains confidential to the authorized Organization.
We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
The App does not use advertising networks, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking technologies.
The App is a business tool intended for use by adults (18+) acting on behalf of an Organization. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We comply with applicable privacy laws in the regions where we operate (including GDPR/CCPA where applicable). Because guest data is provided and controlled by the Organization, Maghil acts as a data processor on the Organization's behalf. Requests to access, correct, or delete guest data should be directed to the Organization, or to us at the contact below and we will assist the Organization in fulfilling them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date.
