"Twins Going Mobile" is a benefit being held on behalf of three year old twin sisters, Brinley Marie Crawford and Emmy Rose Crawford. The girls were born on August 19, 2019. In-utero the girls were diagnosed with potential life-threatening complications. Brinley arrived first, appearing healthy and weighing in at 4 lbs, 9 oz. Emmy was born 6 minutes later but having been diagnosed prior with severe hydrocephalus, was immediately intubated and whisked away for the first of many brain surgeries during her first 6 months of life. The surgeries were hard on her tiny body and her ventricles collapsed and she started experiencing severe seizures. Emmy was diagnosed with Hydrocephaly, Epilepsy and Craniosynostosis. Twin sister Brinley also developed seizures and was subsequently diagnosed with Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and Microcephaly. 

With the arrival of the pandemic in 2020, the girls early intervention therapy was halted and then restricted to weekly zoom sessions. Despite the odds, the sisters have continued to grow and blossom beyond all expectations.

In September of 2022, the girls began therapy sessions at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, and in October of 2022 were accepted into the A.E.R.O. Special Education Cooperative. Currently, the twins are unable to sit, stand, crawl, walk, talk or feed themselves, but are making great progress and getting stronger every day. They have the most beautiful smiles and love all things musical!

The future holds so much promise for these sisters. The family is hoping to raise funds to purchase a van with a lift and wheelchair accessibility for two. This would allow them the means to get to school, therapy and outside services. Any additional funds raised will be set aside for the girls future educational and therapy needs.
