ONYC’s Bringing on Biodiversity Campaign, BOB, aims to preserve provincial biodiversity through inspiring citizens to accomplish a set of initiatives that promote, preserve, and maintain biodiversity in their own community.
We are a team of youth from across Ontario working to increase the care, action and awareness for biodiversity. Our campaign was founded March 2019 at the Ontario Nature Youth Council's annual winter retreat in order to provide communities with a concrete set of goals to follow that would have lasting impacts.
At the 10th annual Youth Summit for Biodiversity, Sammie Heard presented the prototype of Bringing on Biodiversity, and the campaign launched on January 1, 2020. We have 4 communities across Ontario dedicated to fulfilling the criteria to become a biodiverse community.
