Happy Pentecost!
Isn't it great to finally move into true summer? I hope you all will find some time over the next few months to relax and reconnect with friends and family . . . and with Jesus.
I just came back from a trip to Paris where I had the amazing opportunity to stay overnight at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and participate in all-night adoration. Once again, I was struck by the connection between Eucharistic devotion and our work. In the words of St. Charles de Foucald:
"To live the Eucharist is not simply to contemplate the secret presence of Jesus in the obscurity of the tabernacle, in the hidden life, but also to carry this presence into the world for its sanctification, for evangelization. We, like Mary, become the dwelling of God among men. This mission is extraordinary (to carry Christ––what an incredible responsibility!) yet at the same time altogether ordinary, because it is given to all the faithful, no matter what their state in life."
In the wake of Pentecost and its subsequent feast of Corpus Christi, may the Holy Spirit renew in us the gift of "piety"––in modern language LOVE FOR GOD. May we express this gift both in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and equally in service to our isolated brothers and sisters.

Our Spring Team Build
On April 18, around 60 team members met at Christ the King Catholic Church for a morning of inspiration.
Anthony Feola, CTK's Director of Discipleship, shared his personal testimony of Eucharistic encounter and reflected on Scriptures pointing to the revelation of Jesus's ongoing incarnation in his "resurrected form," i.e. in the Holy Eucharist.
Anthony's talk encouraged us all to greater faith and devotion as Eucharistic Missionaries … and so did the sharing from team members Regina George (Women's Prison & Brookhaven), Dan Miling (UM Hospital), and Mike Miklosovic (Trinity Health Ann Arbor, AKA St. Joe's).
Special thanks to all who not only attended but also helped to set up, clean up, and bake delicious treats for the breakfast.
Welcome!
We have continued to move new people through training in the wake of our January workshop, and we are happy to welcome the following people as fully activated members of the Bring Jesus! team: Ann Skonecki (St. Francis); Anne Martin (Christ the King); Deb Purcell (St. Francis); John Harburg (St. Thomas); John McKeone (Christ the King); Lisa Hirsch (St. Mary's Student Parish); Teresa Castillo (FGR).
Yes, we are growing, But we still have a real need for more volunteers. The facilities below are in particular need of more team members. It may not look like it on the signup, but at some of these places, only one or two people carry the load, when ideally we would like three or four. In others, we simply need more hands on deck to make the load lighter and the service time shorter.
Sign up Soon for Summer
Please sign up for your summer dates through Labor Day as soon as possible; simply navigate to the "Signup LInks" page on this webiste.
If you are looking to commit to a team of "regulars" at a particular location (minimally once per month), then check in with me or the team captain about the best way to fit you into a rotation. We can work with the other team members at the facility to create space and balance out the schedule.
I would like to remind everyone again about the option to go out in twos (or even more). Going together is a beautiful way to form relationships with residents and other team members and also to make sure that every date has a backup plan in case of unforeseen cancellations.
Every date on our signup has either "Leader" and "Support Leader" roles or more than one "EMHC" role, so once the first is full, you can simply sign up in the other spots and then connect with the person you'll be serving with.
