Appearance

Tink is a short boy, infact, one of the shortest in NRC! He has spiky hair that is, usually, being attempted to tame in a short low pony tail at the back of his neck. He has round, but not huge, blue eyes. His ears have silver studs– and one will notice the sharp canines for teeth he has. Always on his back are his diamond-shaped, narrow and light, iridescent-looking wings– of which he takes great care of. 

Personality

Tate is a…very spirited person. Often finding himself losing control of his emotions, and primarily his anger and jealousy (especially when somebody tries to befriend his own friends), he finds himself flying into what Leona deems ‘a hissy fit’. He harbors a sharp tongue and won’t miss the opportunity to use it, often insulting people in the long run.

He tends to overwork himself in a poor attempt at proving himself to his mother. Due to this, one can find him momentarily exhausted and lounging about in his own dorm, usually refusing to talk to anyone. At the very beginning of his first 2 years at NRC, Tate had an undeniable hatred for any species that came outside of his homeland, often disregarding them, and even sometimes finding himself disgusted with their mere existence. After his overblot, however, his personality and views seemed to have changed. Tate finds himself rather protective of his friends, considering he’s never had many in the past– and due to this, his anger and jealous tendencies tend to run rampant whenever given the chance. He has deep-rooted abandonment issues, thus, he tends to hold his close friends as tightly in his life as he can. 

Backstory 

In the past, his mother, the right-hand guard to the king of their kingdom, had trained and compared Tate to Malleus nonstop, despite them being two completely different people and species. She had raised him with her ideology of hating species outside of their homeland, and despite his father (a lover, rather than a fighter) attempting to train it out of him, it had stuck with Tate. Due to his training regimen and future profession, he never had many friends, except the prince of his kingdom, who he had sworn his life to as his personal guard. One day, after the Queen of their kingdom had passed, his mother and father found love in a new woman. From that day onward, Tate had a new family and siblings. It was like a light had switched in his mother, and instead of being the hard, cold, and strict woman he had grown up with, she was kind, caring, and nurturing to his new siblings. This new change in her was the start of Tate’s spiral, and eventually, his overblot.

Race

Pixie Fae is a sub-species of Fae, different from Fairies (the kind prominent during the Fairy Gala). Pixie Fae are the closest Fae species to Fairies, and as such, share the most attributes with them. Pixie Fae are biologically more short than the average Fae due to their close heritage to Fairies. This also includes being able to downsize themselves to average Fairy height as a species attribute, along with freely being able to converse with Fairies at their regular height without the need for a translation bell. Pixie Fae naturally produce Pixie Dust from their wings, allowing them, other people, objects, and animals to fly using it. (Note: if their wings get wet, they need to wait for them to dry and produce enough Pixie Dust to fly once more.) They are naturally drawn to those that are deemed ‘pure’. Pixie Fae have the ability to see and sense someone's aura, thanks to their close biology to Fairies, who have the ability to sense and see magic. Because of this, they are able to see people’s auras whenever they feel inclined to. Auras appear in three different colors: White, Gray, and Black. The lighter the color is, the ‘purer’ the person, and vice versa with the darker the color. When in the presence of dark auras, some Pixie Fae seem to become physically sick. 

Skills and Magic

Unique Magic: Feel Trapped
Tate has the ability to lock in somebodies emotional state. If someone is feeling a more dominant emotion, he has the ability to bring that emotion to the 'surface', lock it in, and then force that person to continuously feel that emotion for as long as his magic will allow him. The more vulnerable someones mental state is, the easier it is for Tate to dig around and bring whatever emotion he wants to the surface. If he chooses to go for a less dominant emotion at the time, it's harder for him to lock it in, thus, shortening the time his UM will work.
