Search for new physics in multiboson interactions
My research group pursues leading-edge investigations of the electroweak force of nature by exploiting the increasing dataset recorded by the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The focus of my research program is to study interactions between multiple electroweak bosons. In the Standard Model of particle physics, the self-couplings of electroweak gauge bosons are completely specified by the structure of the theory. As a result, any measured deviations from the theoretical predictions would indicate the presence of new physics phenomena!
My research group develops new methodologies to identify extremely rare exotic reactions, in proton-proton collisions, that results in the simultaneous production of multiple gauge bosons. These extremely rare reactions have probability of occurrence a thousand time smaller than the reaction producing a Higgs boson, and some have never been observed before.
