We build simple online tools for everyday questions.
It started with a familiar frustration. Working out a discount, a loan payment or how much water you should drink shouldn’t mean wading through pop-ups, signing up for an account or squinting at a result you can’t make sense of. So we set out to make calculators that are quick to use and easy to understand.
BrightCodeX Digital is a growing collection of free calculators and converters:
Money and shopping: discount and percentage, VAT and tax, and currency conversion
Loans, savings and business: mortgage and loan payments, compound interest, break-even analysis, return on investment and net pay
Health and fitness: BMI, BMR and daily calorie needs, macros, daily water intake, target heart rate and pregnancy due dates
Everyday tools: a universal unit converter and a colour converter with palette generator
Clear answers. Every tool comes with a plain-language explanation of the formula behind it, a worked example and the questions people ask most, so you can see where a number comes from.
Honest limits. Calculators give estimates, not advice. Where a result depends on things a tool can’t know, such as taxes, medical conditions or market changes, we say so.
Respect for your time and privacy. We don’t ask you to register, and we aim to keep our pages light and easy to read.
We fix mistakes. If you spot an error in a tool or an explanation, tell us and we’ll look into it.
