Inside the therapeutic community, your loved ones will be a resident. They will fit in with the rest of the group and participate in many therapeutic activities.
These activities include:
Regular meetings and discussions to give members the opportunity to discuss and resolve problems and to evaluate each other’s behavior Coping skills workshops where they learn coping skills, and these are then tested and evaluated
Community government, where members of the community follow a rigid structure and make decisions for the good of the whole community
Shared responsibility and community problem solving
Open communication through dialogues and constructive confrontation
Group therapy focusing on identification of feelings: how negative feelings trigger bad behavior, how open they are to their own issues, and how resolutions can be formulated
Regular feedback on individual behavior
