Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Badgett (HQ) is excited to be starting her 20th year teaching. She taught Kindergarten for 15 years and this will be her fifth year teaching 1st grade. She is originally from Virginia and received her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters of Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

When she's not at school, Mrs. Badgett enjoys spending time with her husband, her children Bodie and Lia, and their dogs Hank, Charlie and Carolina in their boat or at the beach. 

Mrs. "Mo" (HQ) has served as an educator for 29 years.  She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She has been blessed to work in several states across the U.S. and overseas.  Mrs. "Mo" is married to Kacy (retired US Marine), is a mother to one daughter Maya (a Kindergarten teacher), and Nana to Aiden (her 2 year old grandson). 

When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family and being a Nana!

Ms Pennington is excited to start her 11th year teaching! She loved her first year at Bridges Preparatory last year and is excited to be a first grade teacher this year!!

Ms Pennington has one daughter, in 8th grade at Bridges Preparatory! When Ms Pennington is not at school, she’s usually out shopping with her daughter or at a beach or a pool!

Dr. DeWeese is beginning her 10th year in the classroom (her 2nd year as a Buc)! She received her Bachelors from Troy University, her Masters from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and her Doctor of Education from the University of South Carolina. 

She loves living in the country with her husband, daughters (EllieKate-12 & Amelia-10), 2 dogs, 3 cats, geese, ducks, turkeys, chickens, goats, and her donkey, Eeyore. When not at school, Dr. DeWeese enjoys attending Gamecock games, going to Disney, watching her daughters compete in cheer, and being the youth leader in her church. 

Ms. Wallace is super excited to join Bridges Preparatory! She graduated from the University of South Carolina and can’t wait to bring her passion for learning to her classroom. When she's not teaching, she loves spending time outdoors, exploring new places in the area, and staying active. She's looking forward to getting to know all of you and making this year a fantastic experience together!
