Meet the Teachers

Jenny Badgett

Mrs. Badgett (HQ) is excited to be starting her 19th year teaching. She taught Kindergarten for 15 years and this will be her fourth year teaching 1st grade. She is originally from Virginia and received her B.S. and Masters of Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

When she's not at school, Mrs. Badgett enjoys spending time with her husband, her children Bodie and Lia, and their dogs Hank and Charlie in their boat or on the beach. 

Valerie Thompson

Mrs. Valerie Thompson is excited to be starting her ninth year of teaching and her fourth year in First grade at Bridges Preparatory School. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education at East Carolina University and has teaching experience in both Elementary and High School. She has been married to her husband Steven for 19 years and they have two beautiful children, Elise (13) and James (11), as well as two German Short haired pointers named Brooks and Baylee.


When she’s not at school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves the great outdoors, cooking, painting and playing games. She also loves coaching cheerleading and encouraging others to reach their goals!!!

Alvenice Mohead

Mrs. "Mo" (HQ) has served as an educator for 29 years.  She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She has been blessed to work in several states across the U.S. and overseas.  Mrs. "Mo" is married to Kacy (retired US Marine), is a mother to one daughter Maya (a Kindergarten teacher), and Nana to Aiden (her 2 year old grandson). 

When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family and being a Nana!

Marissa Imperato

This is Ms. Imperato's 3rd year at Bridges Preparatory School. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Special Education and Psychology from William Paterson University.  This will be her 8th year teaching. 


When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family!
