Purpose
Bridges is a space created by and for graduate students designed to serve as a start, a launch, and
an impetus for beginning thought, collaboration, action, and publication. Bridges seeks to
organize short pieces via an online blog three times a year around basic themes related to the
field of Educational Studies. Bridges aims to be a supportive space for emerging scholars to play
with ideas, learn from peers, develop relationships, practice peer review, and familiarize
themselves with academic publishing. Ultimately, Bridges hopes to create paths and connections,
puentes, within the (broad) field of educational studies.
