The Bridge of Culture team is a diverse and passionate group of 50+ executive members spanning 10+ cities worldwide. Organized into five key departments, we collaborate to foster cross-cultural understanding, empower immigrant and international youth, and drive impactful initiatives.
FOUNDERS
A rising Junior in Vancouver, Jasmine has lived and studied in London, Hong Kong, and Canada. She has cultivated a deep level of understanding for international/ immigrant students, as well as the importance of cross-cultural understanding. She is passionate about law & entrepreneurship, and enjoys singing in choir, reading magazines, and going to the beach.
Kaitlyn is a rising Sophomore in Toronto, Canada. Born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Toronto in 2021, she understands the struggles of international/immigrant students and strives to empower them academically, socially, and personally. She is passionate about music, playing three instruments including the piano, flute, and guitar. Kaitlyn is an aspiring psychology student, with great interest in the field of science.
TECHNOLOGY & REGION
Charlotte is an aspiring law student who is a junior studying in Vancouver, BC. She is passionate about all things music and can be seen playing the violin in various solo and orchestral performances throughout the year.
Samantha is a grade 10 student studying in Hong Kong. With several close friends who immigrated to other countries, she is more than familiar with the challenges that international students might face. She has a passion for singing, playing classical music and debating. She also enjoys doing sports and drawing.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Emily is a sophomore in Toronto, Canada, born and raised in Markham to first-generation immigrant parents. Growing up in a multicultural environment, she understands the value of hard work and resilience, which has shaped her academic and personal goals. She wants to pursue a future in engineering, where she hopes to combine her problem-solving skills with her desire to make a positive impact on the world
Alma is currently in 11th grade at Abd El Aziz El Behi High School in Souusse, Tunisia. She's passionate about painting and loves expressing her creativity through art. Alongside painting, she has a ton of hobbies, including photography, reading, and exploring nature. A fun fact about her is that she once painted a mural in my school that represents the diverse cultures of our community, and it sparked a lot of conversations about art and identity!
FINANCE
Annabelle is BOC's Chief Financial Officer, and currently studying in Vancouver as a junior. In her free time, she can be found competeting in international hip hop dance conventions, eating lots of cilantro, and travelling.
Valerie Chan is excited to join Bridge of Culture as Finance Director. With a background in finance and mathematics, she has experience managing budgets and financial documents. Her journey from Hong Kong to Canada fuels her passion for cultural exchange, and she looks forward to supporting BOC's mission.
Zahara Kanji is grade 11 student studying in Toronto. She loves to make smoothies and matchas in her spare time. A fun fact is that she has sprained the same pinky three times.
Daniel is a grade 10 from China who enjoys listening to music. His fun fact is that he is 6'1.
MARKETING
Hailey is a Grade 10 student in Toronto, Canada, who is pleased to join BOC as the Chief Marketing Officer. Along with her passion for sports and playing various musical instruments, she is also interested in psychology and photography.
As a junior from Vancouver, Canada, Breanne is delighted to serve as BOC’s Vice Chief of Marketing. She enjoys playing volleyball and badminton, as well as photography and video creation. She looks forward to help empower others through Bridge of Culture and is excited to support cross-cultural understanding among youth!
Sophia Cheung, a grade 9 student from Hong Kong, is thrilled to serve as your Marketing Director! When not overwhelmed with schoolwork, she enjoys MUN research, café hopping, and scrolling through Pinterest. She finds joy in jotting down writing ideas. Excited to thrive and connect in BOC together!!
Haylee Lum is in year 13 and lives in the UK. Her hobbies are drawing and listening to music! A fun fact about her is that she likes every genre of music.
Jeffrey Vu is a grade 11 student attending Walnut Grove Secondary School in Langley, British Columbia. Outside of his schoolwork, Jeffrey enjoys volunteering within his community at public events and with nonprofit organisations. A fun fact about Jeffrey is that he is able to identify every country's flag.
My name is Rahul Barua. I was pursuing my MBA from Vancouver, and I just recently graduated. I'm from India, but I stay in Vancouver. I'm an avid reader and I love to read books on ancient lore. A fun fact about me would be being able to speak 5 languages (English, Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, and Punjabi), but now I'm learning French. Hope to get it to 6 soon!
Anaya is a high school junior who lives in New Jersey. She is passionate about creativity and design, constantly exploring new ways to express herself through her art. Anaya is excited to work as a Marketing Director for Bridge of Culture and bring her skills and enthusiasm to the team! A fun fact is that she read 50 books last year!
My name is Sukhleen and I am from Italy, I am currently in my third year of high school in a linguistic school and I study English, French and Spanish as foreign languages. I am interested in maths and physics and I also like to read. I can speak up to 5 languages, and I was actually born in Canada but I’m of Indian origins and grew up in Italy.
Isabella Remedios is a grade 11 student attending Little Flower Academy in Vancouver. Outside of school, she enjoys playing video games, baking, and building Lego. A fun fact about Isabella is that she has 25 metal screws fused in her spine!
Katya Chukalovska is an outgoing grade 10 student from Ukraine who’s planning on unifying communities through her creative qualities. She is passionate about visual arts, tattooing, henna, martial arts, and content creation. Currently, she is working hard to pursue forensics or psychology.
OUTREACH & EVENTS
Isabella Ngan is a junior, currently studying in Vancouver. She enjoys engaging in various clubs such as Model United Nations, Business and STEAM where she is able to envision and broaden her views of the world. In her free time, she stays active by going on hikes and playing badminton.
Zahwa is from Rhode Island and in the eleventh grade. In her spare time, she likes to read, write, and bake!
Eddie is a grade 12 student from Surrey, BC and enjoys binge watching House and collecting Pokemon cards in his spare time.
Anisa is a high school senior from Richmond Hill, Ontario whose favourite hobby is watching Gossip Girl. A fun fact about her is that she's double jointed.
Evelyn Tang is a grade 10 student from Vaughan, Canada. She enjoys playing basketball and creating social media content. A fun fact about her is that she speaks fluent French.
Mikayla is a grade 11 student at Little Flower Academy. She lives in Vancouver, BC, where she was also born and raised. She loves listening to music and her favourite artists include Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. One fun fact about Mikayla is that she is a night owl and feels most productive after 11pm.
Aster is a grade 8 student from Vancouver studying at Little Flower academy. A hobby of hers is dancing and biking. A fun fact is that she is double jointed.
Claire Zhang is a grade 10 student studying in Ontario. She spends her spare time drawing, painting, reading, and listening to music! A fun fact about Claire is that she has a wide imagination, allowing her to engulf herself in any book she reads. Looking forward to working with BOC towards their mission!

Thanvi Dhayalan is a junior from Southern California! She loves hanging out with friends and trying new foods in new places. Alone, she enjoys listening to music 24/7 and reading manga. A fun fact about her is that she has a growing lego car collection. While wanting to become a neurologist, she seeks to expand her understanding of cultural awareness and international connection.
