Most schools use Blackboard communicate information to their students, student to student, and post classwork/homework.
You can submit work and view your grades through here. (if your professor updates grades.)
You can turn on email notifications for when there is an update in one of your classes.
There is also a Blackboard app on IOS. (However, it is not the best.)
Professors can even take tests through Blackboard. (USE LAPTOP FOR THAT.)
"Student Center" is where you'll spend most of your time.
Under "profile" you see your personal information (phone number, email, etc.) for when the school has to contact you.
"Tasks and Holds" is very important and get these immediately once you see them.
When registration comes along, "Schedule Builder" is where you create your schedule.
You can seek an advisor at your school to see what classes you have to take.
"Academic Records" will show your grades in all your classes at the end of the semester.
Look around the website to get used to it! This is the most important part of college.
On CunyFirst, you can see "Degree Works".
This site that allows students to view information about a student’s progress towards graduation.
The student can see which major, minor, specialization, and general education requirements have to be fulfilled and which ones have already been completed.
You will also be able to see AP and transfer credits at the bottom.
Degree Works is the site you use to see how many credits you have and for which classes and categories.
