@ket The intel control center is control panel? It seems the same to me.

Also if you can found an opengl workaround would be excellent.

It is well known that the driver in windows10-11 dont install the opengl.

*the packet works also at windows 11 i tested it.

Both gpu and hd audio installed correctly as the opencl.

Use netsh bridge commands to create and manage a network bridge of at least two network adapters. The network bridge shares the network connectivity and resources of one network adapter with the other.

Creates a bridge of at least two network adapters joining onto the bridge. Providing two network adapters are required as parameters for the command. A successfully created bridge is identified with its unique bridge GUID and can be confirmed using the command netsh bridge list.

thanks for your quick reply. Yeah, I can disable Norton and it actually is disabled as far as I can tell. On another older PC, I tried workstation 15 and it was a Win10 PC. There was never any issue using a bridged connection. Nothing special was needed on my "old" PC. Just set it to bridged (automatic) and it worked. Norton was on and no issues.

I think i narrowed it down. It seems to be an issue with the actual network I am connected to, in my case Wi-Fi network. When I connect my laptop to the wife hotspot of my phone, bridged works. If I am connected to a public WiFi in a hotel for example, it doesnt work. Is that normal?

I have a mix of Windows & Linux guests installed on my machine , every thing was working fine a couple of weeks ago but now Linux guests unable to get IP from my local DHCP server (Router) while all windows guests are able to get IP from Router!

I just ran into this as well with Win10. Everything was working with workstation 17 when I first installed. When I upgraded to 17.0.1, that's when bridge networking broke. It works fine if I go back to 17.0.0. I have repeated the process numerous times so safe to say there's a problem in 17.0.1

Same experience here, I have rolled the workstation back from 17.0.1 to 17.0.0 a couple of days ago and all issues got resolved, seems a bug in 17.0.1 has broken bridge connection of Linux Guests while windows guest bridge was not affected on 17.0.1 upgrade

The bridged network no longer worked after I updated VMware Workstation from version 17.0.0 to version 17.0.1. I uninstalled VMware Workstation and re-installed Workstation 17.0.0, and the bridged network worked once more!

Network Bridge is a feature that has been part of Windows for a long time. A bridge allows you to connect two or more network segments together allowing devices to join the network when it's not possible to connect them directly to a router or switch.

For example, on an Xbox 360 without a wireless adapter, an Xbox One that no longer connects to Wi-Fi, or when a computer is far away from the router, you can use Network Bridge to share your computer's connection (e.g., Ethernet or Wireless) with these devices to allow access the network. Once devices connect using a bridge, they will appear as if they were physically connected to the router.

In this Windows 10 guide, we'll walk you through the steps to properly set up a bridge connection on your desktop or laptop to allow other devices to join your local network and to access the internet.

Before you start setting up a bridge connection on Windows 10, you will need at least two network adapters. One that is connected to the internet and a second adapter that will be used to connect another computer.

At this point, the device connected to the bridge port should have access to the network and internet with the IP address information coming from the router, but the computer hosting the bridge won't be able to access the internet unless you have a third network adapter that is also connected to the network or a static IP address .

On the other hand, Network Bridge doesn't turn the host computer into a router and you won't get Network Address Translation. It only provides a medium (bridge) in which other devices can connect directly to the network and obtain the same IP address scheme every other computer connected to the network is using.

It appears to me that the bridge destroys the wireless configuration. How can I configure a Windows 10 bridge that leaves the wireless configuration unchanged? (note that I do not care about the Ethernet configuration as long as I have a working Internet gateway)

I currently have a wireless bridge running on Windows 10 x86-64. This bridge connects wirelessly to the internet by way of my LAN and bridges to a VoIP telephone device (which has a built in second port configured as a hub, and a second device that is a very old NAS.

I must MANUALLY set IP addresses on the ethernet device on the wired side of the bridge. (this was something I actuallyanticipated and it is because of some of the same reasons pointed outon this thread)

As for my intermittent connection issue.....I found that assigning a Fixed IP to the bridge (as suggested elswehere here) seemed to allow Windows to auto connect. It did however take several attempts and I still have not attempted to use a DHCP client on the LAN cable side.

In my case, I'm bridging to my Unraid server, where I've set what IP it should use on the local network. If you check the Network Bridge in your Network Connections, my speed usually shows the combined speed of the bridged connections.

Well it still works. I am using bridge connection with my 1 Gbps Ethernet and 65 Mbps Wi-Fi and by somehow it managed to get 1.5 Gbps (I don't know if it is a bug or true, but I am sure that is what it tells me)

The first step is to use ICS and set up a mobile hotspot (as described by Daniel). This gives internet access to hotspot clients, however the clients are not visible over the lan because they are on a separate subnet (and Windows does not yet bridge this).

I've been bridging a WiFi to Ethernet for along time now so it can be done and it is easy and straightforward. Just highlight both connections right click and select bridge connections and you're done. I don't think you can add them one at a time as suggested above, you need two connections to create a bridge, it won't work one at a time.

This also happens to me periodically and I haven't figured out why it does it. Basically, the bridge will assume the name of your WiFi connection when it has an IP address and will change to unknown network when it hasn't got an address. I can go for weeks and it works fine and then it will just drop the network connection and won't reconnect until I reboot the computer and can take ages once I've done that. My thoughts are that the IP address gets renewed by DHCP periodically (IP Lease time) and for some reason on this occasion it won't pick up a new address when it's time to renew it. I think many modem/routers have a very short lease time like 1 hour by default. Perhaps try increasing the lease time to several days and then it might not happen as often.

I'm winging this as I go along and I thought why not assign a static address to eliminate any DHCP issue and negate lease times. So I created a static lease in the router and manually applied it to the bridge so we'll see how that goes.

I intend to develop a binding for a bluetooth device. Eventually, the whole setup shall be deployed on a Raspberry Pi, but I plan to develop on a windows system.

So, it would be convenient to have the IDE running on windows with a working bluetooth bridge.

From serveral postings I know that there is a support for linux via bluez or bluegiga. But how is the situation with a generic bluetooth dongle on windows (specifically on windows 10)?

Any ideas?

In short, you are very welcome to help to add support for usb dongles in windows. This could be done vie extending the Bluetooth Manager with a new transport implementation that would work with generic dongles in windows.

Someone will hopefully tell us how to set up the network adapter software to "bridge" Ethernet port 1 to Ethernet port 2 so that data is bidirectionally passed through the 2 Ethernet ports. This can be Windows 10 configuration, or require installing commercial software.

Could you please tell me how to set up the network adapter software to "bridge" Ethernet port 1 to Ethernet port 2 so that data is bidirectionally passed through the 2 Ethernet ports? In addition Wireshark needs to be able to sniff from either of these Ethernet ports.

The IP addresses of both physical interfaces, if assigned, are deactivated but remembered, so once you remove the bridge, they come back. On the contrary, whatever network configuration you set for the bridge, it is completely forgotten when you remove the bridge.

I am writing to say i ordered a 2500k and MSI H61M-P31 motherboard tower from Amazon so i could install windows xp as mentioned above but the idiots upgraded it to core i5-4590 cpu and GA-H81M-H Mobo socket 1150 because the 2500k will not be back in stock until after xmas. ARRRGGHHHHHHHHH. I was so annoyed.

i also played the same MP4 VIDEO in hundreds of VLC players just by clicking on it repeatedly with similar results. So the performance of xp seems to be fine despite all the scare mongerings by the windows 7 and windows 8 crowd.

Hey i work in a computer shop and I've now had 2 laptops with HD3000 graphics come in with black screens at startup. If you hook up an external display it will work and you can operate the PC normally but it will not display on the main laptop screen. The only way I've found to fix this is to either disable the HD3000 graphics in device manager which is undesirable because you can't display in proper resolution for the panel. Or to wait for the PC to startup and login then put the laptop to sleep and wake it up, after that the internal display works until you reboot again. I'm using the prepackaged driver that came with windows 10 i don't have the version number on my right now but i'm sure it was the latest one available for this chip. This is a pretty glaring bug and i know officially there is no support according to the link you provided but can you tell me whether or not intel will be fixing this? Or at the very least acknowledge it? 006ab0faaa
