Dr. Burnett-Brown is the founder and CEO of Briarpatch Solutions LLC and her training institute Briarpatch Institute of Marriage and Family Thjerapy. Dr. Burnett-Brown holds a Ph.D. in psychology, earned with a focus on systemic and institutional racism. Dr. Burnett-Brown is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has 20 years as a public secondary school teacher as well as 10 years in post-secondary and graduate-level education. Dr. Burnett-Brown is a Desert Storm veteran who began her career as a therapist working with enlisted Navy and Marine patients at a military hospital.
Dr. Burnett-Brown chose marriage and family therapy as opposed to clinical psychology as she recognizes the impact of societal and family systems on mental health.

Dr. Burnett-Brown is a diversity and social justice educator as well as a certified autism spectrum disorder clinical specialist.

D'Angela Mark is a dedicated master’s level Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. Currently, she is passionately committed to advancing her career by pursuing post-graduate clinical hours under the supervision of Dr. Burnett-Brown.

Rimsha Khan is a Marriage and Family Therapist Graduate Intern. Rimsha is originally from Pakistan, raised in South Florida, and is now a permanent resident of Georgia. Rimsha is committed to providing a safe and supportive space for members of disenfranchised groups and supporting couples, families, and individuals to achieve their mental health goals.
