In my teaching, I use dynamic, evidence-based techniques to foster trust, experimentation, and self-reflection. My discussion-focused courses in modern and contemporary art history, theory, and criticism show students how the history of art has been written—and how it is always subject to revision. Most importantly, I connect the artists and histories I teach with student's lived experiences, whether they are art majors or are seeking general education credits. Students consistently remark on how my courses encourage them to think for themselves, spark debate, and challenge them to think about art in entirely new ways.
