Super Hero Day

For Myself as a Teacher:

As an elementary instructor, my goal is to make sure my students have the most appropriate place to learn and grow in their early years. I want to provide my students with the fundamentals of their education. By providing students with the best learning environment and important pieces of their education to carry with them through school, I hope that my students feel inspired to be self-confident in their abilities to succeed in anything they choose to do.

What makes me different from others entering the teaching profession is that I truly believe that teaching has chosen me. I left the business world to make sure our students are prepared for their future. Now, having experienced what it's like to run my own classroom and work with children everyday I have learned that there is so much more to the education world than simply educating the youth. Everyday when I walk into my classroom I'm a teacher, but I also am whatever my students need me to be that day too. Whether that is a person to hug, a shoulder to cry on, or the person that will tell them they are loved everyday, I know that it's my calling to be there for each child's unique needs. I truly couldn't imagine myself doing anything else.

For My Students:

School and education should be a comfort zone for students. My students should feel at home in the classroom and like they can share whatever they feel. They should never be scare to ask questions or concerned about getting things wrong. They are in the classroom to learn and feel accepted.

I want each student I come in contact with to take away something that I taught them. I want to inspire them to unlock their future and find where they "fit".  If I can make a difference in my students' lives, I've done my job.
