Biography & Photo Book:
I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (a.k.a. the Yoop), in the small town named Gwinn (Go Modeltowners!), just outside of Marquette. I joined the Air Force immediately after graduation and it has been the best decision I've ever made.
I've worked in the Materiel Management Career Field (2S0X1) my entire career, and it has taken me all over the world. I've worked in all sectors of logistics - from a warehouse clerk to the policy writer of US Air Force Instruction - I've done and seen it all...and I learned to love Logistics!
I've been married to my better half, Robin (from Lewiston, ME), for 24 years, and we have three awesome children together, Brianna (21) - fulltime student at American Public University (social work), Benjamin (19) - joining the USAF in Oct/Nov 2024, and Samuel (14) - freshman at South Carroll High School. In my off time I enjoy exercising, hiking trails with Sammy, boating, camping, fishing, hunting, playing softball, golfing (don't ask me about my handicap), and being in nature or on a beach somewhere.
Reflecting on my military career, I can't help but think of a quote from Steve Jobs, "you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you must trust the dots will somehow connect in your future." I've never shied away from a challenge and through this journey - and through immense adversity - I've uncovered hidden problem-solving talents and have applied them toward becoming a better leader, mentor, and family man.
