Brian was a reporter then became Managing Editor of the UC Merced Prodigy, the university newspaper. Here is one of his many outstanding news stories.
Brian did Success Mentoring and Peer Tutoring of underclassman. He also joined the Pre-Law Society and Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity (for Business Professionals). His third year he became the Chief Justice of the University Judicial Branch.
Brian and his dad took a Law School RoadTrip in Summer 2012. Photo is an 'old school' classroom at Northwestern Univ College of Law. They also visited law schools at U-Chicago, U-Michigan, U-Illinois, Columbia, NY Univ, Penn, Yale, Harvard, Northeastern, Boston College, U-SanDiego, UC-Hastings, Stanford, UCLA, UC-Berkeley, UC-Davis, and others. (They liked Road Trips)
Major achievements while at UCMerced: Prodigy Reporter then Chief Editor, Student Mentor, Peer Tutor, Pre-Law Society, Alpha Kappa Psi, Chief Justice of Student Government Judicial Branch, and 2013 Commencement Speaker (check out the Video).
...and then on to UC Hastings College of Law...2013-2016
Brian loved driving ...especially European sports cars. His first car was a 2003 BMW 525i that he drove 2011-2015 until the engine burned up. His second car was a 2007 Mercedes C230 (black of course)....very fitting for a lawyer.
BRIAN LOVED TO TRAVEL
Brian also enjoyed vacations and holidays when he got to explore the world. He started as an infant by seeing Canada (Montreal, Toronto, and Quebec) then as a child visited Florida's Disney World, Kennedy Space Center (his favorite), the Everglades, and Key West. In his teen years he travelled to Mexico (with his friend Amanda's family) and Hawaii (with his friend Ben's family), took two Grauman family cruises (Carribbean and Mediterranean), and plotted railway trips using the London underground to visit Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. He later visited Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and Yosemite, then conquered Class-4 white water rapids of both the Snake and Colorado Rivers. And...he exploited the many invitations to spend summer weekends at the Delta with the Newlin Family.
Visiting Grandma LaNelle in Prescott Arizona and Grandma LaVada in Bakersfield California.
