The Barangay Health Center serves as the primary healthcare facility at the community level, providing accessible, affordable, and essential health services to all residents. Staffed by trained health workers, midwives, and visiting doctors or nurses, the center is committed to promoting health and preventing illness through regular consultations, immunizations, maternal and childcare, and health education.
As part of its continuing efforts to improve community wellness, the Barangay Health Center now hosts PuroKalusugan services every Monday and Thursday.
PuroKalusugan is a community-based health initiative that brings enhanced medical services closer to barangay residents. Services provided include:
Free medical consultations
Basic laboratory screening (e.g., blood sugar, cholesterol, urinalysis)
Health education seminars
Nutrition and wellness counseling
Preventive check-ups (e.g., blood pressure monitoring, BMI checks)
Distribution of vitamins and maintenance medicines
Referrals to hospitals or specialists, if necessary
These services are offered by licensed healthcare professionals in partnership with the barangay health team. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these regular health days to monitor and maintain their well-being.
