June 2026
Thank you, Brassfield...
As I write my final newsletter message as PTA President, I find myself reflecting on the goals set at the beginning of this year: to ensure that advocacy, inclusion, and community were not just words, but things every family at Brassfield could genuinely feel throughout the year.
I am incredibly proud of every member of our PTA Board for thinking big, working hard, and always keeping students at the center of our efforts. I am proud of our first-time volunteers who jumped in with enthusiasm, and deeply grateful for our seasoned volunteers who generously shared their wisdom and experience.
It has been a true pleasure working with Mr. Elliott. I sincerely appreciate his strong support of our PTA and school community. I also feel privileged to have had a seat at the table for so many important conversations focused on the concerns, ideas, and goals that shape the experience of our students and families.
Most of all, I feel lucky to have spent this year surrounded by so many bright, inquisitive, kind, and fundamentally amazing students, parents, teachers, and staff members. Brassfield is a special place because of all of you.
May was filled with celebration! From recognizing our outstanding principal and teachers, to honoring history, history-makers, and the diversity that strengthens our community. We saw wonderful participation in events like our Green Road Gathering and Annual Family Dance, both of which reflected the strong sense of connection that makes Brassfield so unique.
As we head into June, we look forward to cheering on Track 1 students as they complete EOGs, celebrating our fifth graders as they promote to middle school, and later this month supporting Tracks 3 and 4 through their own EOGs and promotion celebrations.
We celebrate every milestone together as a Brassfield community.
Thank you for allowing me the honor of serving as PTA President. I look forward to continuing to support Brassfield and our newest PTA Board as they carry forward the important work of serving our favorite school.
Here’s to an incredible 2025–2026 school year, and to an even better 2026–2027!
As always, please email BrassfieldESPTA@gmail.com with any questions, comments, concerns or ideas!
