December 2025
Stronger Together: Our December Community Update
As we enter December, we're reminded how much joy comes from being part of this community. During such a busy season, it means a great deal when families choose to show up, support one another, and share their time. We are truly better together, and we're grateful for the generosity and kindness you continue to show.
We also want to acknowledge the continued concerns surrounding the effects of federal presence in our area. The NCPTA has released a position statement and joined with the Education for All campaign and the Children's Thrive Action Network to advocate for the well-being, dignity, and safety of every child and family. If you want to learn more on how to help our community, please email brassfieldespta@gmail.com
November brought many bright moments - from our spirited Chuck E Cheese night to a gusty but fun Fall Carnival. Thank you for supporting our Fall Food Drive for Northeast Wake Backpack Buddies (NEWBB) and for helping us celebrate our substitutes, intervention specialists on their appreciation day. Thank you for the over 80 pies that were donated for our annual Thanksgiving Pie Collection! We were thrilled to host The Beast for our first Cultural Arts performance of the year and join in congratulating the 5th graders for completing their PTA-sponsored D.A.R.E. program.
This month, we look forward to welcoming back Señora Lynch for a 4th grade pottery workshop, cheering on our drama students, enjoying the BRES holiday music concert and celebrating the staff once more with our Holiday Cookie Box Day!
Thank you for making Brassfield such a vibrant, caring and resilient community.

The Brassy Bear Community Fund brings our Brassfield community together to support families experiencing temporary hardships.
In collaboration with school administration, our social worker, counselors and the PTA Board, donated funds are directed with care and discretion to provide essential assistance - because Brassy Bears take care of one another.
