Dr. Brent Sebold is Arizona State University's Hool Coury Law Professor of Entrepreneurship, Global Entrepreneurship Fellow, and director of Entrepreneurship + Innovation @ the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. Brent is an expert faculty designer and administrator of university-based entrepreneurship and innovation programs. Brent's expertise also includes the design and leadership of impactful engagement programs for a diverse range of affinity groups, including founders, lifelong learners, executive leaders, and community changemakers.

ASU VentureX Startup Certificate

I designed the ASU VentureX – Startup Certificate for aspiring global entrepreneurs and innovators who want to transform ideas into viable, high-impact ventures. Through a structured, evidence-based approach, participants learn how to apply innovation frameworks, validate ideas in real markets, and communicate value effectively to stakeholders and investors.

ASU Venture X Fall Experience

I am the co-designer and co-host of global learners' annual visit to Arizona State University to explore the intersection of technology, innovation, and real-world impact through the ASU Venture X Fall Experience.

Surabaya Semiconductor Venture Accelerator Program

I co-designed and directed the 2025 Semiconductor Venture Accelerator Program in Surabaya , Indonesia. I also served as a Panelist during the Demo Day event for a session titled Strategic Stakeholder Partnership and Engagement: Creating Impact and Breakthrough Solutions in Building a National Semiconductor Industry Ecosystem. The program was sponsored by the U.S. Consulate in Surabaya, Indonesia, and implemented by ASU's Global Outreach and Extended Education office in partnership with the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember.

Egyptian Energy Venture Development Program

I designed and directed the 2024 Entrepreneurship and Venture Development program for ASU's Center of Excellence for Energy at Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Engineering, which aimed to foster an entrepreneurial culture at the center’s Egyptian partner universities and drive innovation in the energy industry.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop for Venture Development Leaders at University of Guadalajara

I designed and led the 2023 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop for Venture Development Leaders at ASU for experts visiting from University of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. The workshop was sponsored by ASU Global Launch and the university's Global Academic Initiatives office.

Entrepreneurial Mindset Virtual Workshop for Universidad San Francisco de Quito

I designed and led the 2022 Entrepreneurial Mindset Virtual Workshop for Universidad San Francisco de Quito, a private university in Quito, Ecuador. The workshop was presented to faculty who are members of the SHIFT Innovating Education Academy. This unit is dedicated to improving the quality of teaching and devising new ideas to improve the educational experience through an affiliated “Global Perspectives on Education” program track. The workshop was sponsored by ASU Global Launch and the university's Global Academic Initiatives office.

Entrepreneurial Mindset: A Global Master Class

I delivered an online session for global learners who were affiliated with Cintana Education's ASU Master Class Series.

Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Summer in Dublin, Ireland

I co-designed the course curriculum for FSE 301 - Entrepreneurship and Value Creation, a signature course offered within the Summer in Dublin, Ireland program, which allows learners to explore computer science and entrepreneurship while abroad.

Technology Entrepreneurship in Mandarin

I co-designed the course curriculum for FSE 501 - Technology Entrepreneurship, a signature course within ASU's Master of Engineering degree program, with a focus on Computing and Technology, which is delivered in Mandarin.

Entrepreneurial Mindset Pedagogies for Vietnamese STEM Faculty

I designed and delivered a series of in-country and online executive education sessions to advance Entrepreneurial Mindset pedagogies for STEM Faculty in Viet Nam, as an expert facilitator for ASU's BUILD-IT program, powered by USAID.

Coursera Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation Specialization

I designed and launched a series of four specialization courses with a focus on Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation on Coursera for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU, which constistenly asynchrounusly engages over 1,200 global learners at any given time.

ASU Global Sport Institute

I was an inaugural faculty member in the former Global Sport Institute at ASU's Global Sport Scholars collective, now known as SPORTx at ASU.

USPCAS-E

I was a Co-Principal Investigator for the US-Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) program, with a focus on Technology Entrepreneurship, within the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, which was sponsored by the US Department of State and USAID.
