I am AQU accredited for “profesor agregat” (associate professor) in social sciences. My main research experience and interests lie in socio-economic determinants of health, particularly as they relate to behavioral health economics, health service delivery, health disparities and inequalities, and the evaluation of public health programs and policies.

Before joining URV, I was a Maria Zambrano Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the University of Girona's Economics Department, where I continue to collaborate as a member of the Research Group on Statistics, Econometrics, and Health (GRECS). 

For approximately 15 years in the United States, I led research seeking to inform and advance health policy and program decisions. This includes my role as Chief Research Analyst for Nutrition and Health Programs at the local government level in Los Angeles County, where I oversaw research and evaluation for several federally funded, multi-million dollar chronic disease prevention initiatives.

Overall, I am passionate about conducting translational research aimed at improving health equity across diverse communities.
