Terms and Conditions – Brefnews

1. Acceptance of Terms:
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Brefnews mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Eligibility:
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained consent from your parent or legal guardian to use the App.
3. Account Registration:
3.1 Creating an account is optional but allows access to additional features such as personalized news preferences and saved articles.
3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.3 You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.
4. License to Use
4.1 We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
4.2 You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
5. Content and Services
5.1 Brefnews provides curated news summaries from various sources. We do not create original news content but aggregate and summarize existing news articles.
5.2 All news content displayed in the App is for informational purposes only. We do not endorse or verify the accuracy of third-party news sources.
5.3 News content may be subject to copyright and intellectual property rights of the original publishers.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 The Brefnews name, logo, and all related graphics are trademarks or registered trademarks.
7.2 All software, design, text, images, and other content in the App (excluding third-party news content) are owned by or licensed to Brefnews.
7.3 You may not use our intellectual property without prior written permission.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
9. Premium Features (If Applicable)
9.1 Some features may be available only through in-app purchases or subscriptions.
9.2 Payment for premium features is processed through official app stores (Google Play Store/Apple App Store) and subject to their terms.
9.3 Subscription terms, including renewal and cancellation policies, will be clearly disclosed before purchase.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
10.1 The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
10.2 We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- News content will be accurate, complete, or timely
- The App will meet your specific requirements
10.3 You use the App at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brefnews and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
11.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for using the App in the last 12 months.
12. Termination
12.1 We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms.
12.2 You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws.
14.2 Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration.
14.3 You agree to resolve any disputes on an individual basis, not as part of a class action.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Brefnews regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
