Overview
Breathio processes breathing feedback entirely on your device to support mindful breathing and stress reduction. Camera frames never leave your device.
We use Unity Analytics (basic only) to measure app opens and day-level retention. We do not collect Advertising ID, device IDs, diagnostics/crash logs, or location. Unity acts as our service provider to process these basic usage metrics only.
Camera Use (On-Device Only)
Uses the device camera to estimate breathing phases (inhale, hold, exhale) in real time, on device only.
Frames are processed ephemerally in memory and discarded immediately after analysis.
No facial recognition or biometric identification is performed.
DATA
Breathio uses only the following data:
Camera frames (ephemeral): analyzed in memory to detect breathing phases; not recorded, saved, or transmitted.
Breathing phase estimates (ephemeral): real-time values used to drive feedback; cleared when the session ends.
Session runtime state (ephemeral): timers/counters to run the exercise; cleared when you leave the session.
Basic usage analytics (Unity): app launches and session counts/retention only, for aggregate metrics. No Advertising ID, no diagnostics, no location, no personal data in custom events.
Permissions
Camera (required): to analyze breathing patterns in real time.
Network (optional): to send basic usage analytics (as above) and fetch non-personal content/updates.
Storage & Security
No personal data is stored. Processing happens locally; no raw camera data is uploaded. Basic usage analytics are processed by Unity as our service provider and used only for aggregate metrics.
Children’s Privacy
General-audience app; not directed to children under 13. Minors should use the app with parental guidance.
