We prioritize data minimization. The App is designed to protect your privacy by keeping your data on your personal device.

### A. Local User Data (Stored On-Device)

To provide the core features of BreathSync—such as mindfulness logs, custom routines, gamification XP, and daily consistency tracking—the following data is stored locally in your device's sandbox storage:

*   **Breathing Session History:** Session duration, completed rounds, date/time of completion, and the specific breathing techniques practiced.

*   **Mood Logging:** Your selected daily mood logs used to chart emotional well-being over time.

*   **Custom Breathing Routines:** Custom patterns you create (inhale, hold, exhale, and rest durations).

*   **Gamification Progress:** Your accumulated Zen XP, levels, and consecutive day streak counts.

> **Zero Server Storage:** All of the data listed above is stored strictly on your device using a local sandboxed database (Hive). We do **not** transmit, upload, backup, or copy this information to our servers or any third-party servers.

### B. Device Permissions

The App requests the following permissions to enable specific features:

*   **Notification Permission (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`):** Used to display morning and bedtime mindfulness reminders that you opt into.

*   **Exact Alarm Scheduling (`SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM`):** Used on older Android versions to trigger reminders at precise times.

> We do not collect or monitor your location, device ID, contacts, photos, or other personal media files.

### C. AI Coach Feature

Our AI Coach allows you to converse with a mindfulness assistant. 

*   When you interact with the AI Coach, your chat messages are processed dynamically to generate answers.

*   No personal identifiers (such as names or emails) are sent with these requests.

*   Your chat prompts are not stored permanently by us and are never shared with advertisers or third-party brokers.

## 2. Third-Party Services

The App does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. 

We do not use any marketing trackers, third-party user-profiling analytics libraries, or advertising networks inside the App.

## 3. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

*   Your records are kept as long as the App is installed.

*   You can delete all data permanently at any time by **clearing the App's storage/cache** in your Android Device Settings or by **uninstalling the App**.

BreathSync does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
