Everybody should consider getting a Warm Mist or Cool Mist Humidifier for the household before the winter is here. Before you start shopping for Best Room Humidifier you should decide if you want a warm mist or cool mist humidifier.

Warm Mist humidifier is better suited for use in the wintertime, and Cool Mist Humidifier works better in summer. Why don’t you get both?

You even should not be fighting with cold symptoms to notice the benefits of humidifiers – people suffer a lot from the negative effects of dry heated air in your house or apartment. Sometimes an air conditioner (insert link) also adds to the mix of negative factors.

A good humidifier will soothe your throat, prevent nose bleeds, and clear congestion in your nose. Want more benefits? It will even eliminate static electricity!

How Does Humidifier work?

Warm Mist Humidifier

The warm mist humidifier such as the Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier, boils water and produces steam like an electric kettle. That's why it's also called Warm Mist Humidifier or Warm Air Humidifier.

Cool Mist Humidifier

There are two types of cool mist humidifiers - evaporative humidifiers and ultrasonic humidifiers.

Evaporative humidifiers (often called vaporizers) work the same as warm mist humidifiers (see below), with one difference: they've a component that cools the steam so that the temperature of the steam produced doesn't exceed the room temperature.

Ultrasonic humidifiers use ultrasound - the high-frequency sound vibrations. Ultrasound creates a fine mist of water that humidifies the room.
