I began playing golf in February 2011 and competed in my first golf tournament in September 2011 as a sophomore at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, CA. By my senior year I was an All-League selection and advanced to the CIF finals. I earned a scholarship to UC Irvine where I graduated with a degree in Economics in 2018 and was a 3-time Big West All-Academic honoree. I have competed in several professional golf tournaments including an 8th place finish at the recent Arizona Women's Open. This past summer I made the cut at Stage 1 of Q School. According to the 10 years/10,000 hours for expertise, I still have not reached my full potential. Golf is now my full time job and passion and I have every intention of devoting myself to becoming the best player I can be through deliberate practice, fitness and mental training, and competing against the best competition possible. As such I spend 6 hours each day in on-course practice identifying and working on my weaknesses. I am a member at Universal Golf Performance (UGP) in Orange County where I get fitness and performance training twice a week utilizing TrackMan technology to improve my game. Another two days a week, I meet with a personal trainer to work on my strength training. I meet with my mental skills trainer as needed. In addition, I intend to compete in as many professional events as I can manage and afford.
Outside of golf, I am currently learning to speak Korean. I love K-Pop, Marvel movies, and reading.
